2008 Book Week/Fair!: What a wonderful success this event was! The children and teachers send a sincere “thank you!” to the organising committee of parents. There was huge interest shown during the week by parents and children and our library was often absolutely full before and after school. The Book Fair has led to many new and attractive books being donated to the library. These will expose children to all the joys of reading and many of the books will greatly expand their knowledge. Many of our children now have new books in their home libraries also. The book character parade generated such great excitement and was a real highlight of the week. We were very grateful for the support of Mark Adams and Paper Plus Barrington - the vouchers for the winners of the ‘design a book cover competition’ were a very generous contribution to our Book Week. Mark has a great love of books himself, and is very knowledgeable about them, so, if you get the chance, do support his business. |
