a man tries to find

the centre of the Earth

endless loops of life

koru twirl

around new beginnings

fern seeds scatter

gospel music flows

from the singer’s heart

applause of peace

gloomy clouds

take over the sun

ashes in the wind


Samantha S (Year 5)

a monarch butterfly

flutters to a tree castle

red-carpet roses

a netball hoop

holds a cup of tea

goal-shoot giant

the sun rises

from behind a hill

blackbirds dig for worms

humans run races

music makes me dance

the claws come out

tigers hunt their prey

seed heads

fire foxgloves

Mother Nature’s missiles

children swing

on monkey bars

prisoners escape

cats under the couch
